Hey Foodies!
I recently went to Amalfi Pizza for a fancy Italian dinner. I stumbled upon this hidden gem while walking around Downtown, Atlanta. After my first dining experience, I immediately fell in love!
When I first entered the Zagat rated establishment, I felt as if I had taken a trip to the coast of southern Italy. The small water fountains, Juliette style balconies, woodburning brick ovens, and the dim lit ambiance of the restaurant was the ultimate dining escape from the bustling city.
I had a variety of specialty entrees such as the Arancini, Chicken Marsala, and Margherita Pizza. The Arancini was stuffed with cheesy risotto and served with sweet San Marzano. The Chicken Marsala was served over thick rigatoni pasta, topped with parmesan and fresh parsley. The Margherita Pizza Carnavale style which had hidden pockets of ricotta cheese in the crust. Yum!
For dessert, we had the tiramisu and cannoli. The tiramisu was fluffy with hints of chocolate and espresso. The cannoli was by far my favorite part of my dining experience! The crunchy cannoli shell was filled with sweet whipped mascarpone and topped with sweet mini chocolate chips and a candied orange peel.
The prices for entrees at Amalfi Pizza were not too pricey. The restaurant’s entrees range from $13-30, which is super reasonable for a fine dining restaurant in Downtown Atlanta.
I highly recommend trying out Amalfi Pizza! The ambiance of the restaurant creates an intimate Italian dining experience in Downtown. The ricotta stuffed pizzas and cannolis are definitely items that I would return for and strongly encourage you all to try them as well!
I hope you all enjoyed this post!
Until next time,
