You had me at Sushi…

Hey Foodies!

Japanese food for dinner? Say no more because you had me at sushi! WaGaYa in Midtown Atlanta is serving up more than just sushi, but a variety of traditional Japanese specialties that Atlantans have to check out!

Wagaya’s ambience always sets me in a mood where I reminisce about Japan. With a dim lit setting, wooden booth seating, Japanese room dividers, plus a full view of their culinary sushi masters perfecting their crafts, the experience of this ramen bar is as authentic as it can get. Even the customer service is so pleasing with a respectful staff, not to mention, the great diversity of foodies who come for dinner.

The food at WaGaYa is absolutely delicious! There are tons of menu options to choose from such as their delectable sashimi, takoyaki, udon, and my favorite, ramen. I always order WaGaYa’s Sushi + Ramen special. This deal lets you choose from a select menu of sushi paired with your choice of ramen. I love ordering the Avocado Salmon Roll and Crunchy Yellowtail Roll along with the Spicy Ramen, but I ask for no pork in my bowl and broth.

As someone who has been to Japan before, I am very particular about my ramen. Yet, I have to say that WaGaYa’s ramen is full of flavor and has a savory kick. The sushi rolls are the perfect duo to accompany the ramen by cooling down the flavors of the heat.

The prices at WaGaYa are reasonable as well. The Sushi+Ramen special is only $17! The amount of food provided in the special is too much for me to finish alone so I end up sharing it with a friend. Overall, the quality and food of WaGaYa’s dining experience is absolutely worth trying out.

Until next time,

Asmaa 🙂
