Hey guys and Happy (belated) Halloween! Last weekend my sisters and I went to Atlantic Station to watch a screening of Hocus Pocus and hang out. While we were waiting on the movie to start, we wanted to grab something small to eat, so we headed to one of my favorite taco spots for happy hour in Atlanta; Cantina Al Fresco.
Cantina is a small taco stand on the side of Rosa Mexicano in Atlantic Station. If you’re in the mood for some authentic Mexican street tacos but do not want to sit inside for the wait, then you can go to the side of Rosa Mexicano and order from this sister-store. Cantina has a relaxed Mexican outdoor bar ambiance. The stand’s seating area has the perfect view of Atlantic Station and is a comfortable spot to pick up a bite while shopping.
Cantina has a variety of delicious tacos, nachos, quesadillas and desserts to choose from. My sister and I chose their brisket and chicken tacos with an order of churros for dessert. The tacos were both so mouthwatering and savory. The brisket tacos were topped with pickled onion for a nice tangy kick to the braised beef. The chicken sat on a bed of fresh queso atop of a homemade tortilla. Accompanied with chocolate and rasberry sauces, the churros rolled in cinnamon and sugar were the best assortment. Those fried donuts were the perfect sweet tooth satisfier!
Cantina’s prices were not too bad either. Cantina usually has happy hour on Thursday-Sunday from 4-7pm. The entree prices range from $4-14 and satisfy your snack cravings.
I would highly recommend checking out Cantina Al Fresco if you’re in the mood for a quick Mexican bite. Their service is great, the food comes out quick, and the tacos are delicious!
